The children have been exploring the topic ‘Ourselves’.  They have learnt all about what they look like as well as other people around them.  They have learnt the different parts of the body and explored the five senses.  The children have discussed their families and their nationalities.

The children have used parts of the computer and developed mouse control through a variety of programmes.  All children have established effective relationships with other children and adults in the classroom.  We have introduced personal and class targets.

During creative development the children have explored a variety of drawing materials and painting. 

In literacy the children have been discussing their weekly news.  We have learnt lots of new sounds and how to form these sounds and blend words together to learn how to read.

In numeracy the children have practised counting to 20 and recognising numbers up 10 and beyond.  The children have explored one more than a given number and the names of basic 2D and 3D shapes.
