Year Three have enjoyed their first few weeks in the Juniors. They are getting used to new routines, including different break and lunch times, handing in homework at the correct time and games lessons at Paddy Rec.

We have started lots of interesting new topics in our lessons, including ‘The Romans’ in History, ‘The Weather’ in Geography and ‘Healthy Eating and Teeth’ in Science. The children are eager to learn more about these topics in the coming weeks.

During Succot we went on a ‘Succah Crawl’ to the Cherman’s Succah which we all enjoyed! It was especially fun to have a lesson in a Succah and enjoy the delicious snacks provided.

In Jewish Studies we have been learning lots of new topics too.  In Chumash we are studying the Life of Avraham.  In Jewish Living we have learnt all about the wonderful Festivals that fall in the month of Tishrei.  Now we are learning about the Jewish Calendar and how each New Month was established.  We also study the Parasha, and each week we focus on a different Middah [character trait] and how we can apply it to our every-day lives.
