Nursery

For children aged 3-4

The Nursery is the child's introduction to school life. Through a mixture of structured activities, the Nursery provides an exciting environment in which children are encouraged to discover their world. During the year children reinforce their knowledge of colours, shapes and basic numbers. They are introduced to initial phonic sounds and the exciting world of books. The Nursery’s varied facilities include use of the main school, especially the gym, Information Communication Technology suite and playground. Social and emotional skills, self confidence and self esteem are enhanced through group activities, circle time and free play. The children learn about their Jewish culture through Tefillot and Berachot. They learn Parashat HaShavua through drama and art. Each of the Jewish festivals is celebrated with stories, songs and crafts. As the year progresses the children learn the topics of Shabbat, Kashrut and Berachot, through songs and crafts.
