Chanukah at Naima
Here at Naima we are already getting really excited about Chanukah, as we have so many wonderful events planned for our children.
We will be holding our Annual Chanukiah-Making Competition. This has always been a really popular family activity with a vast variety of entries. All families are invited to participate, and entries are to be submitted by Monday 22nd November. The winners will be announced during Chanukah, and pictures will be uploaded onto the website.
On Sunday 28th November, we will be running the Annual School Chanukah Fair, where - amongst many other things - a variety of Chanukah-themed toys and crafts will be for sale. This year we are holding the Fair at Lauderdale Road Synagogue, between 10:30am – 2:30 pm. We hope that many parents will support this event.
The first night of Chanukah will be on Wednesday 1st December. To mark our enjoyable Festival of Lights, we will be holding Chanukah presentations each afternoon at school. The presentations will be as follows:

Other Chanukah events include the Annual Chanukah Sponsored Readathon which will be held on Tuesday afternoon, 2nd December. All children will be asked to find sponsors for this event. We hope to raise even more money than we did last year.
On Wednesday 8th December, Years 3 and 4 will be visiting the Friendship Club at Lauderdale Road where they will perform their Chanukah Presentations for the Club members.
