NAIMA YEAR 3 & 4 FOOTBALL TEAM TRIUMPH AGAIN!

Naima brought home their third trophy in succession at the Maccabi Football tournament.

Report by Jamie Levy (Year 4)

“It was the third tournament so we weren’t that nervous.  In the first game Naima A lost 1-0 and everyone was upset.  In the second game we won 2-0 and that started to cheer us up.  It was the final game of the group stages and if we lost we would be out of the tournament.  The final score of the game was 6-0 and Naima A were through but Naima B were out.

In the quarter final, Naima A were playing Sinai.  In the game Nathan scored a hat-trick and Jacob scored to make the result 4-0.  Now Naima A was playing really well and no-one could beat us.

In the semi-final Naima A played Rosh Pinah.  Naima beat them 5-0.  Daniel scored a hat-trick and Raphael and Nate both scored a goal each.

In the final we played Moriah and it was quite easy because Moriah were very tired from the semi-finals.  The game kicked off and about three minutes into the game George scored.  Not long after that there was a penalty given and George scored again.  Now George only needed one goal to score a hat-trick.  Daniel ran the field and crossed the ball to George who rolled it into the top corner to make it 3-0.  When Jacob came on he ran the pitch and smacked the ball, it hit the post and went in to make the final score 4-0 and for Naima to win the cup.”
