YEAR 1 pupils at Naima Jewish Preparatory School in North West London celebrated their "Chagigat HaSiddur" along with the launch of a new Children's Siddur.
Following a presentation to parents on the theme of hakoras hatov, the youingsters participated in an interactive session with Rabbi Dr Abraham Levy, the Spiritual Head of the Spanish and Portuguese kehilla, on the same topic of giving thanks to Hashem for the many gifts they receive on a daily basis. Parents then received copies of the newly published siddur, which is called Pirheh Naima, to present to their own children at the moving ceremony....

PUPILS travelled back in time in a history workshop on ancient Egypt.
Year 6 at Naima Jewish Preparatory School in Maida Vale dressed up and took part in role-play activities, recreating scenes from the lives of slaves.
The day was run by Penny Bright from the History Off The Page workshops and teacher Julie Partridge.
The youngsters also prepared Pharaoh’s tomb to ensure him the best possible afterlife, pressed olive oil for tomb lamps, wrote hieroglyphic notes with charcoal-grinded ink, and embalmed pegs to make miniature mummies.

PUPILS from the Naima Jewish Preparatory School in Maida Vale are celebrating great results for their choice of secondary schools.
Year six pupils from the school on Andover Place have achieved outstanding school transfer results to some of the capital's top independent schools.
Headteacher Michael Cohen said: "We are delighted with our results. Our school offers the nurturing environment that brings out the best in our children, thus enabling them to reach their full potential.
"These results are a credit to our dedicated team of staff who inspire the children in their learning.

PRIMARY schoolchildren in Maida Vale travelled back in time to relive life as a Tudor for the day.
Year Four pupils from the Naima Jewish preparatory school on Andover Place took part in a living history
workshop on Tudor history.
The children dressed up in Tudor costume and took part in role playing from the life of a Tudor apprentice –
under the guidance of Lee Marsh of Off the Page history workshops and teachers Mrs Bagon and Miss
Herskine.
They learned about candle making, ink creation, leather work, soap production and apothecary work.
And after all their hard work they enjoyed a traditional Tudor banquet in the school hall.
